Available for licensing are more than 130,000 Dow Jones equity indexes as well as fixed-income, alternative and portfolio indexes. Under certain circumstances, customized indexes may be created to meet institutions' specific needs.

Dow Jones Index data may also be licensed for research and analysis that is unrelated to the issuance of financial products. The standard index component files contain index components and weights, identifier information for each security, country and primary exchange data for index components, Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) data for securities and more. All of that information provides insight into the various markets and assets classes tracked by Dow Jones indexes; in many cases, those indexes serve as the basis for Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and other financial products as detailed below.
