Overview
The Dow Jones Credit Suisse Hedge Fund Indexes℠, offered by Dow Jones Indexes and Credit Suisse Index Co., Inc. are a leading family of hedge fund indexes. The indexes are constructed from a database of approximately 8,000 hedge funds and seek to provide the world's most accurate representation of the hedge fund universe.
Included in the family are the following indexes, as well as a range of geographical and strategy-specific subindexes.
- Dow Jones Credit Suisse Hedge Fund Index℠: an asset-weighted benchmark that measures hedge fund performance and seeks to provide the most accurate representation of the hedge fund universe.
- Dow Jones Credit Suisse AllHedge Index℠: an investable index made up of the 10 Dow Jones Credit Suisse AllHedge Strategy Indexes weighted according to the sector weights of the Dow Jones Credit Suisse Hedge Fund Index℠.
- Dow Jones Credit Suisse Blue Chip Hedge Fund Index℠: an investable index comprised of 60 of the largest funds across the 10 style-based sectors in the Dow Jones Credit Suisse Hedge Fund Index℠.
- Dow Jones Credit Suisse LEA Hedge Fund Index℠: an asset-weighted composite index that provides insight into three specific regions of the emerging markets hedge fund universe (Latin America, EEMEA [Emerging Europe, Middle East and Africa] and Asia).
