Overview

The Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Indexes, offered collaboratively by Dow Jones Indexes and BBVA Research, are designed to measure the stock performance of leading companies from emerging and growth-leading economies (EAGLEs).

EAGLEs is a dynamic concept developed by BBVA Research to identify key emerging economies, defined as those whose contributions to world growth over the next 10 years are expected to match or exceed those of the six largest developed economies, excluding the United States. Member economies are updated each year based on forecasted incremental GDP. For more information on the EAGLEs concept, please visit http://bbvaeagles.com

The Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Indexes include only U.S., EU and Hong Kong listings, with the aim of facilitating index replication by foreign investment firms.

Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Index

The Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Index measures the performance of 50 the largest companies traded in emerging and growth-leading economies (EAGLEs). Companies are selected and weighted to reflect the GDP-based EAGLEs country weightings. Company weights are restricted based on their liquidity.

Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Optimized Index

The Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Optimized Index is a version of the Dow Jones BBVA EAGLEs Index that aims to limit turnover by placing restrictions on the countries covered. The index methodology limits the number of EAGLEs country changes to two at each annual rebalance, restricts country weight changes to 5% at each rebalance and requires that between 8 and 10 countries are always represented in the index.
