The only index of its kind, the Dow Jones 2008 Summer Games Index represents some of the world's leading firms. The index includes the publicly traded securities of companies that are official partners, sponsors and suppliers of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Approximately half of the components are Chinese companies, as of November 30, 2007. Since most Olympic host countries tend to choose local companies as their partners, sponsors and suppliers, the composition of this index is unique to its time, and will change for each successive Olympic Games as soon as the future supporters for the respective events are made public.

As the chart below demonstrates, the total return performance of the current Dow Jones 2008 Summer Games Index outperforms the total return of the Dow Jones global blue chip index counterpart and of the global benchmark.
